Obituary for Jeanne Barrett

Jeanne Barrett passed away on January 7, 2018, after a long battle with Alzheimer's. Graveside services will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, January 12, at Oakwood Cemetery with Rev. Dr. Leslie King officiating.

Jeanne was born Dorris Jeanne Tucker in Waco, Texas, on October 8, 1928, to James and Eva Tucker and was raised in Comanche, Texas. She moved to Waco after marrying Charles Weldon Barrett on February 7, 1950. They had four children, and Jeanne was a devoted mother while supporting Charles as he built his construction company. She played cards with anyone who would play. Jeanne was a kind and loving spirit and will be remembered by many.
