What is healthy grieving?

Healthy grieving requires balance. Balance doesn’t mean a 50-50 split of your time, but it does mean you allow yourself time to grieve while also maintaining day-to-day activities. Likewise, it is important to balance the time you spend alone processing your emotions with time spent reaching out to others. Taking care of yourself, or allowing others to comfort you, may feel selfish, but it is not. To deny yourself of some grief is unhealthy. Treat yourself with the same compassion and care that you would offer a loved one experiencing a loss of their own. Grief is a natural process and it is meant to be acknowledged and appropriately addressed
