Alice Monette Parrish

Monette Parrish March 25, 1921-December 3, 2005 Monette Parrish claimed her reward in heaven Saturday, December 3, 2005 at a local nursing home. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, December 6 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Bosque Chapel, with the Rev. Marvin Donnell officiating. Burial will follow at Rosemound Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 6-8 p.m.Monday, December 5 at the funeral home. Monette was born March 25, 1921 in Elk, TX, the youngest of eleven children, to James Elisha Glaze and Nellie Austin Glaze. She had several different occupations. Her joy in life was as a mother, grandmother, and devoted friend to many. She was a lifelong member of North Waco Baptist Church. She leaves behind to cherish her memory three sons: Leroy Parrish and wife Kathy, of Waco, David Parrish of Arlington, and Michael Parrish and wife Suzanne, of China Spring; grandchildren, Richard Parrish of Ft. Worth, Craig Parrish of Arlington, Robert Parrish and wife, Beth of Roseville, CA, Kimberly Galvan and husband, Bubba of Waco, Richard Jones and wife, Kimberly of Palestine, TX; nine great-grandchildren, and a host of special nieces, nephews, and friends, among whom is a lifelong family friend, Mr. C.W. Eaton. She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and five sisters. We thank God the Father for allowing us to have her as long as we did. She will make a beautiful angel. Pallbearers will be Robert Parrish, Gerardo BubbaGalvan, Bobby Joe Harris, Joe Kendrick, Mark Shultz and Lynn Harris.
