Andrew Parrish Shipp November 11, 1943 - December 26, 2014 Andrew Parrish Shipp of Hewitt passed away Friday, December 26, 2014 at his home. Memorial Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 3, 2015, at First Baptist Church of Woodway. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 3, at First Baptist Church of Woodway, prior to the Memorial Service. Andrew was born November 11, 1943 in Terrell, Texas to Parrish and Mattie Lou Shipp. Andrew spent his career in music ministry and education, serving several churches in Texas and Georgia as Minister of Music and Education. These churches include: First Baptist, Hooks, Texas; West 14th Baptist, Houston; and First Baptist, Gray, Georgia. He also taught elementary and junior high classes in the Pasadena Independent School District, Goose Creek Independent School District and at San Jacinto Baptist Academy, Channelview, Texas. Since his retirement Andrew has enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and participating in the Sanctuary Choir at First Baptist, Woodway, and the Singing Seniors of Waco. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Parrish and Mattie Lou Shipp. He is survived by his wife, Gayle Shipp of Hewitt, TX; two daughters, Tonya Paschalis of The Woodlands and Keren Campbell and husband Dennis of Waco; six grandchildren Mariah, Christopher, Alyssa, Logan, Matthew and Meagan. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, Music Ministry of First Baptist Church of Woodway or the Baylor Singing Seniors.
