Ann Price Barger passed away peacefully December 5, 2016, at Brookdale Memorial Oaks in Houston. Visitation will be Thursday, December 8, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home, 12:00-1:00 p.m., followed by graveside service at Oakwood Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. Ann was born in Mineola, Texas, to Geneva and Henry Price in September, 1934. In 1975, Ann married Tom Barger and they resided in the Waco area for several years. Ann loved square-dancing, crafting, and writing children’s stories. She was also a dog lover and Miss Holly was her faithful companion. Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Barger; and sons, Billy Vance Lindsey and Thomas Lee Barger, II. She is survived by her sons, Bob Lindsey and wife, Cynthia, of Houston, and Karl Barger and wife, Karen, of Flower Mound; daughters, Mary Ann Wood of Burleson, and Sue Sowder and husband, Bob, of Hewitt; daughter-in-law, Jan Barger of Waco; granddaughters, Andrea Griffith of Frisco, Alice Taylor of McKinney, Melody Sowder of San Antonio, and Hannah Barger of Flower Mound; grandsons, Will, Andrew and Matthew Lindsey of Houston, Jacob Sowder of Hewitt, Jonathan Barger of Waco, Zachary and Grayson Barger of Flower Mound; and six great-grandchildren.
