Augustin Galindo, Sr, May 13, 1938 - October 17, 2014 Augustin Galindo, Sr., of Riesel passed away Friday, October 17, 2014. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, October 20, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Rev. Benjamin Magnaye as Celebrant. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will begin 6:00 p.m. and Rosary Service at 7:00 p.m., Sunday, October 19, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel. Augustin was born May 13, 1938, in Hondo, Texas, to Kuintin and Josefa Galindo. He was employed at McKinney and James for 26 years, and then at Waco Machinery and Parts for 6 years. Once retired, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, being outside, and deer hunting. Augustin was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waco, was a Cursillista and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Albert Galindo; and brothers, Israel Galindo and Raul Galindo. He is survived by his loving wife, Tomasa Mendoza Galindo; children, Augustin Augie Galindo, Jr., and wife, Rebecca, Genevieve Cervantez and husband, Frank; Rodolfo Rody Galindo and Alice Ramos, Leticia Martinez and husband, Raymond, and Criseida Salinas and husband, Rico; daughter-in-law, Becky Galindo; 19 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; sisters, Maria Consulo Martinez and Janie Lopez; brother, Ernest Galindo, Sr.; and numerous, nieces, nephews and cousins. Pallbearers are Augustin Cervantez, Alejandro Cervantez, Phillip Martinez, Donald Lopez, Ernest Galindo, Jr., and Armando Galindo.
