Bernice Ellen Kelley September 20, 1931 - November 27, 2012 Bernice Ellen Kelley of McGregor went home to be with Jesus on Tuesday, November 27, 2012, in Waco. Services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 1, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Park. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, November 30, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Garden Room. Bernice was born September 20, 1931, in Morrisville, Vermont, to Cecil E. and Blanche P. Preston Sanborn. She was the third of six Sanborn children. She met and married her husband, Hilliard Brooks "H.B." Kelley, and together they celebrated 44 years of marriage. They had 5 children: Gene, Bit, Mary Kelley-Dyess, Bryon, and Alan Kelley. Bernice was a homemaker and loving mother. In 1982, she began work at Smead at McGregor, Texas, until her retirement in 1996. She also was known to many as the owner of Kelley's Korner Bookstore on Highway 84. She was a member of First Baptist Church, McGregor. She was preceded in death in by her parents; and her husband, H.B., in November of 1996. She is survived by her 4 sons and 1 daughter: Gene Kelley and wife, Jana, Bit Kelley, Mary Dyess and husband, Gary "G.W.", Byron Kelley and wife, Meredith, and Alan Kelley and wife, Diane; grandchildren, Kane and Emily Kelley of McKinney, Kelley and Eddie Knaus of Keller, Katy and Lance Dieterich of China Spring, Kharissa and Nick Richter of Rockwall, Amanda and Ryan Halligan of Azle, Gary "Dubby" Dyess and wife, Lindsay, of Azle, Michael Sarmiento of Azle, Ariel Kelley of Lorena, Brittany Kelley of Hewitt, Colton Kelley of Waco, Jacob Kelley of Lorena, Cheyenne Kelley of Lorena and Cassidy Kelley of Lorena; great grandchildren, Trisitian Sarmiento, Kalel Sarmiento, Jedadiah Sarmiento, Addison Knaus, Quinnlan Dieterich, Xander Dieterich, Aurora Kelley and Eavie Richter. Among those she loved were many nieces, nephews, and family friends. Pallbearers are Darren Kelley, Richard Kelley, Daryl Kelley, Mike Arnold, Michael Sarmiento, Lance Dieterich and Gary "Dubby" Dyess. The family wishes to express their appreciation and sincere gratitude to those at Ridgecrest, Providence Hospital and Providence Hospice, who filled her last years and days with love, comfort and blessing.
