Billy F. Golden September 5, 1924 September 7, 2012 Billy F. Golden, 88, passed away at his residence in Waco on Friday, September 7, 2012. Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m. , Tuesday, September 11, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with Rev. Greg Brumit officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held, 6-8 p.m. Monday, September 10, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Billy was born September 5, 1924 in Whitney, Texas to Charlie and NinaBaileyGolden. He served in the U.S. Armed Forces during WWII and was 2nd Wave Omaha Beach on D-Day. He earned several medals during his service including the Bronze Star. He was a longtime Waco resident and managed Texas Home Improvement Co. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Charles and Tommy. He is survived by his wife, Jean; daughters, Cathy Rose, Nan Loman, Susan Unsworth, and their husbands; grandchildren, Kasey and Kristin Loman. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
