Billy Pat Bostick

April 2, 1928 — September 17, 2017

Our sweet and loving father, husband, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, September 17, 2017. Services for Billy Pat Bostick will be held 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 20, at the Bruceville-Eddy United Methodist Church. A visitation will follow in the church fellowship hall with a private burial to follow. Billy Pat Bostick was born on April 2, 1928, to Bernice and Virgil Tandy Bostick and was the youngest of four children. He was a lifelong farmer and rancher who truly loved working the land and caring for his cattle. But his greatest love was his family. He was the best husband, father, son, brother, uncle, grandfather, and great-grandfather a family could ever have. Pat also loved his community dearly and served on the school board of Bruceville-Eddy ISD for 26 years. He was a member of the Bruceville-Eddy United Methodist Church since 1955. He was a Master Mason in the Masonic Lodge for more than 50 years and was a director of the Eddy Coop/Gin for many years. Pat is preceded in death by his mother and father; his brother, Byron; and sister, Bonnie Nell. He is survived by his loving, devoted wife of 69 years, Betty Jo Bostick; his sister, June Parham; his son, Steve Bostick and wife, Lotte; his daughter, Camille Johnson and husband, Fred, and daughter, Carla Byars and husband, Joe. He was blessed with eight loving grandchildren: Kristin Clements and husband, Jared, Brian Johnson and wife, Anna, Patrick, Eric, Greg, and Blake Bostick, Katherine Silman and husband, Rick, and Nick Byars. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren; and special nieces and nephews. The pallbearers will be his eight “perfect” grandchildren. The family would like to thank the Lane family, Bluebonnet Hospice and Dr. Bill McCunniff for the loving care they provided. Memorials may be made to the Bruceville-Eddy United Methodist Church, 404 W. 3rd Street, Eddy Texas 76524. The family invites you to leave a message or memory on our “Tribute Wall” at www.WHBfamily.com.
