Carla Dea Cash

October 4, 1954 — March 23, 2012

Carla Dea Cash October 4, 1954 March 23, 2012 Carla Dea Cash, 57, of Waco was called to her heavenly home Friday, March 23rd, 2012. A celebration of her life will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 28th, at First United Methodist Church. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 27th, from 6-8 PM at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Carla was born October 4th, 1954 in Jacksonville, FL. She spent her early childhood in Neosho, MO. Her family moved to Waco in 1960. Carla graduated from Richfield High School in 1972. She attended North Texas State University and was employed for 11 years at National Lloyds Insurance Co. In 1986, Carla began a career as an accountant, office manager, and investor in her family's business, Schreiber Investments. Carla had an unbelievable zest for life that took her shopping in the streets of New York to fishing the waters of Lake Waco. She enjoyed preparing gourmet meals for her friends and family and cheering her beloved Texas Longhorns to victory. More than shopping, fishing, and cooking, Carla was best known for issuing "Fashion Tickets" for any willful clothing violator. Carla was passionate about her relationship with her friends and family. She loved having lunches with her mother, Mary, and the "Friday Lunch Bunch" and also enjoyed Thursday night spirits at Ridgewood with her many friends. From shopping and pedicures with her favorite niece, Kristen, to breakfast and "spirited discussions" with her beloved "A-H", also known as Randy Crook, Carla was a devoted daughter, understanding sister, loving aunt, and faithful, loyal friend that unselfishly gave of herself throughout her life. She was dearly loved by everyone who crossed her path. Carla was preceded in death by her father James D. Cash and her dear Tootsie. She is survived by her mother Mary Schreiber and husband Wesley Schreiber, who Carla and her brother love and regard as a father; brother Steven Cash and wife Adrienne; nephews Kenneth Cash and wife Heather, Wesley Cash and wife Rebecca, Ty Cash, and her beloved niece Kristen Cash, all of Waco. Pallbearers will be Paul Comer, Dwayne Dennsman, Monte Hulse, Dale Powell, Abel Reyna, Vertney L. Smith, Sammy Citrano and Honorary Pallbearer Randy Crook. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Fuzzy Friends, American Heart Association or Waco GoodFellas.
