Carol Lee Evans June 20, 1943 - December 25, 2015 Carol Lee Evans of Waco passed away Friday, December 25, 2015, at her residence. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., Thursday, December 31, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Carol was born June 20, 1943, in Ionia, Michigan, to Edwin and Ester Nelson. She enjoyed sewing and making quilts, cooking and planting flowers. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by four sons, Robert, Kerry, Gerald and Darryl Evans, all of Waco; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Alvin and Edward Nelson; two sisters, Lorena Nelson Peak and Mary Ann Nelson Conine, all of Michigan; and 15 nieces and nephews.
