Catherine Lorene Owens

Catherine Lorene Owens passed away Saturday, January 13, 2018. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 17, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Rev. Joseph F. Geleney, Jr., officiating. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Visitation and Rosary will be 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, January 16, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel. Catherine was born November 1, 1925, to Frances Clara Clemens Owens and Ernest Donald Owens, in Ft. Worth, Texas. She worked over 40 years for Lone Star Gas Co. Catherine was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, James Orville “Pat” Owens, and A.L. “Doodle” Owens; two sisters-in-law, Sandra and Jean; a very special niece, Diane Skidmore; and a nephew, Tim Owens. Catherine is survived by a sister, Mary Lee Owens Skidmore; a brother, Billy Don Owens; nieces, Catherine Lindstrom and Amy Baker; a nephew, Lee Owens; and several other nieces and nephews; great nieces, Amber Lindstrom, Jessica Newell Lindstrom; a great nephew, Matthew Lindstrom; and sister-in-law, Mary Ann Owens. Pallbearers will be: Mickey Long, Drake Cameron, Jerry Lewis, David Walker, Matthew Lindstrom, Dennis Hoelscher, Boyce Wilson, and Joe Keel.
