Cloris Graves

May 1, 1929 — February 3, 2017

On Friday, February 3, 2017, Cloris Graves, age 87, passed peacefully in her sleep after a brief illness. She left her earthly body to join her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, in whom she put all of her faith and trust. Her graveside service will be 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, February 7, at Waco Memorial Park. She was preceded in death by her parents, W.J. and Virgie Walker; her brother, Bill Walker; and her sister, June Zatopek. She is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, Aubra Graves of Hewitt. She is also survived by her son, Steve Graves and wife, Jana Kaay, of Austin; her daughter, Sarah Diane Graves of Hewitt; her son, James Graves of Lorena; her granddaughter, Emily Graves and her husband, James Horne, of Arlington, Virginia; her grandson, Nathan Franks of Hewitt; her sisters, Waurine Siler, Sondra Priddy and husband, Merlin, and Sarah Schriver and husband, Craig; as well as her brothers, Charles Walker and wife, June, and Robert Walker and wife, Jo Ann. She is also survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews. She was an avid homemaker, cook, gardener, seamstress, and nurturer of her family. Her family was always the joy of her life, and she loved and cherished every one of them. She was always there for anyone in their times of need. She will be deeply missed by all.
