Cordell Farrar July 1, 1923 - May 22, 2008 Cordell Farrar of Robinson passed away Thursday, May 22, 2008 at a local Hospital. Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 24, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with the Chaplain Suzanne Smith officiating, assisted by Rev. Toni Kracke. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday, May 23, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Cordell was born July 1, 1923 in Speegleville, Texas to Benjamin and Amanda Farrar. He retired from Central Freight Lines after thirty years of service. Cordell has been a lifelong Christian and attended several local churches. He attended Waco High School from 1939 to 1942 and was in the Army Air Corp. from 1942 to 1946. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 47 years; Mary Lois Farrar, and son; Cordell Wayne Farrar. He is survived by son Gene Farrar and wife Johanna, loving companion of 18 years; Alice Hennig and her children; Sherian McQueen, Jack Hennig, Debbie Hill; twin brother, Parnell Farrar, brother, Benjamin Farrar, and sister, Mary Clemmer. Eleven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the Providence Auxiliary Volunteers or to the American Cancer Society.
