Doris Marie Renshaw June 15, 1921 - May 11, 2007 Doris Marie Renshaw of Waco passed away Friday, May 11, 2007 at Wesley Woods Alzheimer's Care Center. Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Monday, May 14, 2007 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey with Deacon Jeff Heiple and Jim Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, May 13, 2007 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Doris was born June 15, 1921 in Brashear, TX to Clarence Almer Hickman and Ida Mary Hickman. She attended East Texas State Teacher’s College after high school and began her teaching career in 1941 in Celina, Texas. She continued to teach mathematics and retired in 1986 after being named Teacher of the Year for the Irving Independent School District. She moved to Waco after retiring. Doris enjoyed years of membership to Crestview Church of Christ and grew to love her Lord more with each day of her life. She read and studied the Bible eagerly. She also enjoyed the challenge of duplicate bridge at Sul Ross Senior Center and the many friendships she made at the center. She was preceded in death by parents, her husband of 30 years, Thomas L. Renshaw, and daughter Suzanne Muchmore. She is survived by her daughters, Teri Barnes and husband, Terry of Lorena; Lisa Lindloff and husband, Stephen of Elm Mott; and son, Thomas Renshaw and wife, Pam of Allen. Doris was blessed with 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Pallbearers are Mike Cockrell, Jr., Sean Cockrell, Bryan Cockrell, Brandon Cockrell, Stephen Lindloff and Trevor Renshaw. Honorary pallbearers are Don Guest, D.L. Reneau, John Lynch, Walter Hill, Allan Horton, Fred Williams, and Bill Coker The family wishes to express sincere appreciation to the loving and caring staffs of St. Catherine’s Skilled Nursing Center, Wesley Woods Alzheimers’s Care Center, and Providence Hospice.
