Edward H. Staas July 5, 1931 - November 1, 2012 Edward H. Staas of Waco passed away Thursday, November 1, 2012, at Providence Hospital. Services will be 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, November 7, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel. Burial will follow at Rosemound Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, November 6, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Garden Room. Edward was born July 5, 1931, in Robinson, Texas, to Rudolph and Lena Staas. He graduated from Waco Tech, and attended MCC, where he earned a real estate license and a security guard certificate. He was president of the Consistory of the Evangelical and Reformed Church. For over 30 years he was a civil service employee in the Postal Service, and retired as the postmaster at Rosebud-Lott. Edward had a great work ethic and continued working until 2009. He loved his family and they loved him. He enjoyed fishing, taking casino bus trips, watching sports, and he lived life to the fullest. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Dollie Staas; sister, Elenora Cendrowski; and his son, Randy Staas. He is survived by his daughter, Rhonda Staas of Waco; granddaughters, Christy Staas and Melanie Boening and husband, Chris; grandson, Casey Vincent; great grandchildren, Jacob, Wyatt and Grayson Edward; and sister, Dorothy Dentry and husband, George, of Salado, TX. Pallbearers are Chris Boening, Kevin Barton, Ed Flores, Gary Martin, Bryan Brown and Dale Moseley. Honorary pallbearers are George Dentry, Frank Sledge, Rick Martin, James Miller and the late R.V.
