Elayne S. Lynn May 16, 1931 - October 24, 2014 Elayne Lynn, 83, of Waco passed away Friday, October 24, 2014 at her home surrounded by her children and grandchildren. Graveside services will be 2 p.m., Monday, October 27, at Agudath Jacob Cemetery with Rabbi Gordon Fuller Officiating. Visitation will be at 4124 Green Oak Drive following the service and Minyan Service will be at sundown. Elayne was born on May 16, 1931, in Monterrey, Mexico, immigrating to the United States when she was age 6. In August 1950, Elayne married her soul mate, Lawrence Lynn who together had 4 sons and 6 grandchildren whom all reside in Waco, Texas. Her grandchildren were the most important part of her life. She also enjoyed her weekly Mahjongg Games, traveling the world, taking cruises, and her work out friends at the YMCA of Central Texas. She also enjoyed watching Baylor Football, Lady Bears Basketball, and the Dallas Cowboys with her family. For numerous years, Elayne was the Secretary of Congregation Agudath Jacob in Waco, up until retirement. Following retirement, Elayne, along with her husband Lawrence and their sons, formed Lynn Properties, a family owned and operated business located in Waco, Texas. Survivors include her four sons Sidney Lynn and wife, Paula , Donny Lynn and wife, Darla, Jeffrey Lynn, and wife, Dawn, and Michael Lynn and wife, Melissa; grandchildren Justin Lynn, Colton Lynn and wife, Chelsea, Blake Lynn, Andy Lynn, Bailey Lynn, and Lauren Lynn; sister-in-law Shirley Hoppenstein of Dallas, Texas; brother-in-law Jack Seriff of Austin, Texas; special friends Dr. Harvey Spark and wife, Jo, and their children Matthew Spark and wife, Melanie, Benjamin Spark, Lauren Woodman, and Meg Littell. Pallbearers are her grandsons Justin Lynn, Blake Lynn, Colton Lynn, Andy Lynn, Bailey Lynn, Benjamin Spark, Matthew Spark; Honorary Pallbearers Dr.Harvey Spark and Lauren Lynn. A special thank you to Labanda Cobb, Treshenia McClenan, Ester Louise Clark and Yokika "Kiki" Mitchell who all were her private caregivers during her final days at her home as well as Rabbi Gordon Fuller for his dedication and support.
