ZEIGLER, ELIZABETH Elizabeth Wilson Zeigler passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2002. A memorial service will be held at 1:00PM Saturday, April 6 at Crestview Church of Christ, 7129 Delhi Road. A graveside service will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00PM Friday, April 5 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Garden Room, 6101 Bosque Blvd. Mrs. Zeigler was born March 8, 1932 in Tennessee to the late L. R. and Ruth Wilson. An Abilene Christian University graduate and also a graduate of the Master’s degree program at Southern Methodist University, Liz lived most of her adult life in Waco, where she made many life-long friends. She was a devoted wife and mother and found great fulfillment in providing for and in nurturing her family. She was thrilled to be Nunu to her grandchildren and completely doted upon them. Liz had a servant’s heart and devoted her entire life to meeting the needs of other people. She never met a stranger and took a personal interest in everyone she called friend. Her greatest joy and comfort was in her personal relationship with Jesus. She was an active member of Crestview Church of Christ and gave of her time and talents to share Christ’s love with others. Liz turned an initial diagnosis of ovarian cancer into another way to glorify God. She was a living testimony to the physical and spiritual healing power of God’s love. Her verbal testimony about her situation was an inspiration to all who came into contact with her. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Nathan Clardy. After 48 years of marriage, she is survived by her husband, Dr. Ray L. Zeigler, by her children, Sara Clardy and husband, Mark, Dan Zeigler and wife, Carol; Jane Sanders and husband, Bill, and Pam Deputy and husband, Rob; brother, Dr. L. Ray Wilson and wife, Susie; grandchildren, Ryan, Jessica and Erin Clardy, Rachel and Joshua Ziegler, Lacy and Riley Sanders and Abby Deputy.
