Elouise Clydie McKamie, 92, of Killeen, formerly of Waco, passed away Thursday, February 14, 2008. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday, February 18, at Willow Grove Baptist Church near Moody with Dr. Randy Wallace, pastor, First Baptist Church, Killeen, and Rev. Stephen Jackson, pastor, Chalk Bluff Baptist Church, Chalk Bluff, officiating. Burial will follow at Moody Cemetery. Mrs. McKamie will be in state at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey beginning Sunday and visitation with the family will be from 12:30 to 1:30 at the Willow Grove Church preceding the funeral service. Mrs. McKamie was born August 25, 1915 in Ardmore, Oklahoma to Clyde and Golda Stringer. She married Clarence McKamie on October 24, 1934. They had been married 67 years when he passed away in 2001. They farmed in the Willow Grove area for many years before moving to Waco where they were members of Park Lake Drive Baptist Church. She was a loving wife and mother who was devoted to her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and four brothers. She is survived by her son, Bobby McKamie and wife, Mary Beth of Chalk Bluff; daughter, Marie Aycock and husband, Jimmie Don of Killeen; five grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren; sisters, Inez Davis and Ruthie Jones of Lubbock; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Brant McKamie, Blake McKamie, Blane McKamie, Jim Aycock, Gary Newman and Zachary Newman. Memorials may be made to Willow Grove Baptist Church or the charity of your choice.
