Ervin G. Siems November 20, 1927 - December 21, 2014 Ervin G. Siems of Waco passed away Sunday, December 21, 2014 Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 26, at St. Mark Lutheran Church with the Rev. James Price officiating. Burial will follow at 2:00 p.m., at Oakwood Cemetery in Hamilton, Texas. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 23, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Garden Room. Ervin was born November 20, 1927, in Hamilton, Texas, to Alex and Minna Siems. He married his beloved wife of 57 years, Billie Carlene Harmon Siems on October 21, 1950. Ervin was baptized at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Aleman, Texas, and graduated from Hamilton High School. He entered the U.S. Army and stationed in Japan. He was honorably discharged in 1948. Ervin farmed in Hamilton until 1955. In 1955, he joined the Texas Department of Public Safety where he served the great state of Texas and its' citizens for 31 years. After retirement, he returned to his love of farming and enjoyed it until his death. Ervin was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Billie Carlene Siems; and sister, OraDell Tyson. He is survived by his son, William Alex Siems, and wife, Vicki, of China Spring, Texas; his grandchildren, Shannon Blalock and husband, Andy, of Amarillo, Texas, Erin Abernathy and husband, Richard, of Lorena and Brian Siems and wife, Jessica, of China Spring; his great-grandchildren, Brinley, Carly Sue, Gus, Jackson and Judd; and his brother, Harvey Siems and wife, Bernie, of West, Texas. Pallbearers are Brian Siems, Richard Abernathy, Andy Blalock, Leroy Tyson, Gary Tyson, David Tyson, Jody Tyson and Don Tyson. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mark Lutheran Church.
