Eugene Westbrook Field December 20, 1926 - October 1, 2009 Eugene “Sonny” Westbrook Field of Waco passed away Thursday, October 1, 2009. Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 7, 2009, at Rosemound Cemetery . Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m.Tuesday, October 6, 2009 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Eugene was born December 20, 1926 in Waco, Texas. He was an active member of V.F.W. Post 2148, serving in the color guard and former commander. He was a WWII veteran serving in the Navy and Marine Corp. Other than his time in the service he was a life long resident of Waco. Eugene was a Baylor Graduate and after a career with Bell Telephone and Real Estate he retired. He enjoyed having coffee with his friends at Jack and Jill onValley Mills and was a regular patron and friend at IHOP. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister. He is survived by his niece, Connie Hunker; grand nephew, Beau Franke and great grand niece, Allison Franke as well as many other family members and life long friends.
