Faye M. Wood

Wood, Faye M. Faye M. Wood, 79, of Woodway, died Saturday, January 7, 2006, at her home surrounded by her family. Services will be held at 11:30 A.M. Tuesday, January 10 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with the Rev. Gene Grace officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 7:00-8:00 PM, Monday, January 9 at the funeral home. Mrs. Wood was born September 5, 1926 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Bernard and Ann Olivia Davis Parker. She was married December 1, 1945 to James T. Wood. Her husband’s army career took them to Germany, Japan, Hawaii and Washington, D.C. After her husband’s retirement in 1972, the couple settled in Woodway, Texas. She was preceded in death by a son, Jonathan Peter Wood and husband, James T. Wood. Survivors include daughters, Susan Lane and husband, David and Leah Haggard, all of Waco; son, Randy Wood and wife, Amy of Norfolk, Virginia; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Thelda Phillips of Salt Lake City, Utah, Dorothy Hoppas of Sun City, Arizona, Helen Diamond of Sun City, California and sister-in-law, Louise Bolster of Texarkana, Texas.
