M/Sgt Ret. Frank M. DeRosa August 19, 1913 - January 9, 2009 Frank Michael DeRosa of Waco passed away Friday, January 9, 2009, at St. Catherine's Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday, January 12, at St. Louis Catholic Church with the Father Rakshaganathan Selvaraj as Celebrant. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. and visitation will follow Sunday, January 11, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Garden Room. Frank was born August 19, 1913, in Norwalk, Connecticut, to Michaelangelo and Lucille DeRosa. He was in the U.S. Army for about 27 years. His service spanned the entirety of WWII, the Korean and Vietnam Conflicts. After retirement he was an active volunteer with the Boy Scouts of America, Lion's Club, Waco V.A. Hospital, VFW and Knights of Columbus 3rd and 4th Degrees. He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Eula DeRosa. He is survived by his daughters, Frankie McRay and husband, Jerry; Carol Kemp; Diane Light and husband, David; and son, Michael DeRosa and wife, Rebecca; grandchildren, Carla Fielder, Wyndell McRay, Thomas Kemp, Patrick Kemp, Belinda Ordones, Brian DeRosa, and Eric DeRosa; great grandchildren, Lauren McRay, Thomas Patrick Kemp, Alycia Ordones and Ethan Light. Pallbearers are Wyndell McRay, Thomas Kemp, Patrick Kemp, Mike DeRosa, David Light and Richard Kaga. Honorary pallbearers are Jerry McRay, Brian and Eric DeRosa. Memorials may be made to Providence Hospice, Veterans of Foreign Wars VFW, St. Jude's Childrens Hospital of Memphis, TN, Happy Endings Dog Rescue in Hewitt, or any of the organizations where he volunteered.
