Frederick Boone Crow January 13, 1921 – March 31, 2006 Frederick Boone Crow passed away March 31, 2006 at age 85 from injuries sustained in automobile accident. A memorial service will held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, April 4 at St. Albans Episcopal Church. Mr. Crow was born January 13, 1921. He was raised by “Uncle Jim” Crow who was in the Baylor sports program for 42 years and sparked Fred’s love of sports that continued throughout his entire life. Fred was an avid golfer and a big supporter of Baylor University. He attended Baylor for one year and was then accepted to the U.S. Naval Academy where he was in the Class of 1945 but graduated in 1944. He served on the USS Miami during WWII and then was accepted into flight training. He married Agnes Harlan, the true love of his life, and they were married for 60 years. After the war, he and Agnes returned to Waco. Fred worked for Owen-Illinois as a combustion engineer for 31 years. He was a charter member of St. Albans Episcopal Church, serving as senior warden and many other capacities within the church. He enjoyed playing golf and making furniture. He built the alter and conference tables at the church and made golf clubs for his many friends at Ridgewood Country Club. His community involvement was limitless serving as Cub Scout leader, president of the little league just to mention a few. He loved Waco, family and many friends. His fun nature and devotion will be missed by all that knew him. He was preceded in death by his wife. He is survived by his son, Jim Crow and daughter-in-law Pat Crow of Waco; daughter, Paula Rothe of New Braunfels; grandsons, Scott Crow and wife, Heather and their daughter, Audrey of McKinney and Kevin Crow and wife, Allison of College Station.
