Geneva Good Bailey November 23, 1927 - April 5, 2009 Geneva Bailey of Waco passed away Sunday, April 5, 2009 at her residence. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 8, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Garden Room with Dr. Jerry Howell officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Garden Room. Geneva was born November 23, 1927 in Waco, TX, to Marvin and Lorene Good who were lifetime residents of Waco, TX. Marvin was a longtime employee of Swift and Company of Waco. Geneva Bailey graduated from Waco High School and went to work for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. During that time she married Claire E. Bailey and from 1957 through 1994 was a resident of Dallas, TX. Geneva was a member of Casa Linda Methodist Church. Geneva returned to Waco in 1994 and spent the remaining years of her life as a beloved mother and grandmother and anyone who knew Geneva was touched by her gracious nature and commitment to her family and friends. Geneva was an active participant in her children's schooling and extracurricular activities including Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts and sports. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, a daughter, Paula Jean, and her sister, Virginia Good Deruytter. She is survived by son, Jimmy Claire Bailey and wife Molly; daughter, Dana Bailey Lain and her husband, Mark; grandson, Shawn Claire Bailey; granddaughters, Cortney Jacqueline Bailey; Brandy Patrick and her husband, Richard and a great granddaughter, Ashley Patrick. Pallbearers are Shawn Claire Bailey, Stephen Fitzpatrick, Steve Deruytter, David Deruytter, Jason Fitzpatrick and Richard Patrick.
