Georgia Marie Norris August 5, 1928 - July 1, 2015 Georgia Marie Norris of China Spring, Texas, passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2015. Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 7, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with Steve Adams from Parkview Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at China Spring Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, July 6, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel. Georgia was born August 5, 1928 to Richard and Audrey Cox. She married Marion D Norris in Maysville, Kentucky, on January 6, 1948, after a three week courtship. They were married for 52 years prior to his passing in 2000. Georgia was a member of the First Baptist Church of China Spring. She was a homemaker until her children were grown and then she worked for China Spring ISD as a teacher's aide. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Marion D Norris; and sister, Dorothy Smith. She is survived by her three daughters, Donna Plemons and husband, Donald, of Austin, TX, Linda Jander and husband, Tim, of Lorena, TX and Susie Norris of China Spring; one son, Dale Norris and wife, Destini, of China Sping; grandchildren, Keith Plemons, Crystal Plemons, Jared Jander and wife, Robin, Jennifer Brookshire and husband, Joseph, Bailee Norris, Abby Norris and Tripp Norris; and great-grandchildren, Kylie Jander and Landon Jander. Georgia is also survived by her sister, Doris Baca of Vernon Texas and brother, Richard Cox and wife, Joyce, of Burlington, Texas; sisters-in-law, Jackie Norris of Foster, Kentucky and Shirley Norris of Union, Kentucky and many nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are Keith Plemons, Jared Jander, Billy Johnson, Jimmie Kerr, Jerry Don Mathis, Jay Sparkman, and Bryan Coleman. Honorary pallbearers are Bubba Nelson, George Lindsey and Frank Watson. We would like to express our deepest appreciation to the staff of Westview Manor Nursing Home in McGregor for the loving care they gave our mother.
