Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 8, at First United Methodist Church Chapel of Waco with the Rev. Su Milam officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Cemetery in the vicinity of Marlin, TX. Visitation begins 30 minutes prior to the service. She was born to Henry and Sybil Larmour on February 12, 1919, on a farm outside of Lott, Texas. Grace's dedication to family, love for animals, and strong work ethic developed while growing up on the farm with her four sisters. After years of riding to school on horseback, Grace graduated from Lott High School in 1936. She then attended and graduated from Port Arthur Business School where she was known as the star pupil in grammar, shorthand, and typing. Grace pursued a secretarial career and worked at Bryan Field where she met and married the late James "Jim" Sigler. They moved to Waco where she served as a secretary at James Connally Air Force Base and Headquarters Twelfth Air Force and received the Outstanding Performance Rating and the Sustained Superior Performance Award for many years. During that time, she also served as a Brownie Troop leader and a pre-school Sunday school teacher at Calvary Baptist Church. After retiring from her position as executive secretary at the Brazos River Authority in 1991, she volunteered at the First United Methodist Church that she attended. A beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Grace is fondly remembered for her beautiful smile, bright blue eyes, engaging laugh, love for her children and family, and passion for rescuing cats and dogs. Grace was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Sybil Larmour; husband, James "Jim" Sigler; and sisters, Mary Ella Cole and Cora Elizabeth Powell. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Gracie and Alan McClure of Houston, and Penny and Mel Horton of Dallas; as well as four grandchildren, Mari Elizabeth McClure, Lacy Ball, Megan Horton and Allison Murphy and husband, Shaun. Grace is also survived by her sisters, Ann Severson and Sybil Morris and husband, Kenneth; brothers-in-law, Hal Cole and Arlyn Powell; and numerous nieces and nephews. Other survivors include Grace's beloved dogs, Rascal and Goldie. The family would like to thank Grace's special caregivers in Waco and Dallas who lovingly and professionally helped her age with grace and dignity. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that memorial donations be sent to Fuzzy Friends Rescue, 6321 Airport Road, Waco, TX 76708, or to a favorite charity.
