GREGORY DANIEL MARTIN HOWELL April 7, 1983 August 28, 2008 Gregory Howell was taken from the world on August 28, 2008. Gregory "Marty" to Family and Friends was born at Tyndall Air Force Base, Panama City, FL to John Martin Howell and Deborah Ann O'Brien Howell on April 7, 1983. Marty is remembered as a loving son devoted to his family, a caring brother, and loyal friend. His greatest joy was doing for others and seeing them happy as a result. He loved children and had fun teaching them soccer as an assistant coach for little league soccer while living in Bonifay, FL. Marty enjoyed working on cars, listening to country music, and being with his family and friends. Singing along with the radio was something he did almost constantly, although he was not always on key and was often a bit nasal. He grew up in Florida, Okinawa Japan, New Mexico and Texas while his father served in the Air Force. Marty was planning to enlist in the U.S. Army later this year to join his friends that are currently serving to protect the United States. He worked at a range of jobs in his short life, everything from offshore oilrig service-boat deckhand, to horizontal boring equipment operator, to metal roof forming and supply. Marty was a member in good standing with the American Pool-players Association and enjoyed playing in local pool league tournaments with his friends. He was working toward qualifying with his teammates for the National Team Championship in Las Vegas Nevada. Marty is survived by, his Mother and Father of Robinson, TX, a brother, James Everett Allen Howell of Hewitt, TX, a sister Dyan Dawn Howell Reeves of Mountain Home, ID and his Grandmother Sarah Thelma Howell of Bonifay, FL. Marty's family will accompany him back home to Bonifay, FL where he loved to fish and hunt with his cousin Lincoln Howell. A memorial service for Marty will be held in Bonifay at a time to be announced by the family. Marty will be deeply missed by his family and friends and his silly grin will always remain in our hearts.
