Hattie E. Beheler September 20, 1922 October 20, 2014 Hattie E. Beheler, age 92, of Elm Mott, passed away Monday, October 20, 2014, at The Atrium of Bellmead. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 24, at White Rock Cemetery in Ross, Texas, with Rev. Darrel Phillips officiating. Visitation will be held 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, October 23, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home. Hattie was born September 20, 1922, in West, to Fred and Katy Heine, one of 12 children. She graduated from La Vega High School in 1939. On September 19, 1942, Hattie was united in marriage to Edward L. Beheler in Onset, Massachusetts. He preceded her in death on July 14, 2001. Hattie worked at Montgomery-Ward and Cox's for over 30 years before retiring in 1978. She enjoyed doing arts and crafts, knitting, crocheting, playing bingo and collecting butterfly jewelry. She had a heartwarming laugh that could light up the room and especially cherished time spent with her family. Hattie was a longtime member of Elm Mott United Methodist Church, where she spent many of her retired days keeping the flower beds weeded and the shrubs trimmed. Hattie is also preceded in death by her parents; six sisters, Dora Pate, Alvine Beheler, Agnes Landfried, Bertha Ellis, Anna Wedemeyer and Marguerite Stephens; and three brothers, Arthur Heine, Marvin Heine and Karl Heine. Survivors include two sons, William Beheler, and wife, Sherry, of Waco, and James C. Beheler of Elm Mott; 4 grandchildren, Kim Rankin and husband, Russ, of Robinson, Brad Beheler and wife, Kristin, of Robinson, Scott Beheler and wife, Janie, of West, and Darrin Beheler of Arlington; six great-grandchildren, Katelyn Rankin, Alyssa Rankin, Abbey Beheler, Reed Beheler, Tracen Beheler and Tristan Gonzalez; two sisters, Juanita Carter of Weatherford and Frances Barger of Waco; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
