Hilda Stallings Naler

November 12, 1909 — January 31, 2004

Hilda Stallings Naler, 94, of Waco, passed away Saturday, January 31, 2004 at a local hospital. Graveside services will be at 11:30, Monday, February 2, at Moody Cemetery, with Rev. Don Cannata officiating. Ms. Naler was born November 12, 1909, to Robert Bingham and Lou Ollie Boyd Stallings in Ambia, Lamar County, Texas. She was the 6th of eight children. The family moved to Hico, then to West, and, finally, to Moody. She graduated from Moody High School and attended Mary-Hardin Baylor College in Belton, and Baylor University. Music played a big part in her life; she served as a pianist and organist at the Moody Methodist Church prior to her moving to Waco. Ms. Naler worked at R.E. Cox Company, Blackland Army Air Field, Waco Army Air Field, and General Tire. She was a member of Herring Avenue United Methodist Church until it merged with Lake Shore United Methodist Church. Among survivors are several nieces and nephews, Dorothy Stallings of Waco; Lawrence Stallings and Kay Sedille of California; Gail Combs, of Amarillo; Patricia Holder, of Arizona; Sara Barnett, of Atlanta, Georgia; Tom Stallings, of The Woodlands; Richard Stallings of Santa Fe, Texas. She is also survived by three sisters-in-law, Marian Stallings of Sacramento, California; Mary Helen Stallings of Amarillo, Wessie Stallings of New Orleans, Louisiana, and a loving caregiver Katie Mayfield.
