Hugh Bob Fuller Sr October 17, 1924 - January 30, 2007 Hugh Bob Fuller Sr of Waco passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at Providence Hospital. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, February 1, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with Father Isadore Rozycki officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 31, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Hugh Bob was born October 17, 1924 in Rogers, TX to Omar Frank and Nell Fuller. He was graduated from Waco High School and attended Tarelton State and Baylor University. He served in the 69th Infantry Division in the U.S. Army and participated in battle in Europe between 1943-1946, and was wounded during the Battle of the Bulge. After returning to Waco he joined the family business, Fuller Auto Parts, and was owner/operator at the time it was sold. After selling the business, he edicated himself to performing “TAPS” at veterans’ funerals all over the State of Texas and was featured in Southern Living Magazine and the television series, Texas Country Reporter for his dedication. He led the Waco Veterans’ Day Parade for many years. Hugh Bob was a member of First Baptist Church of Waco. He was preceded in death by parents and his son, Andrew. He is survived by daughter Mary Nell Dowd and husband, Don of Linden, TX; son, Hugh Bob Fuller, Jr and wife, Terryca of Helotes, TX; two sisters, Joan Hudson and husband, Gay of Houston and Oma Nell Nemmer and husband, Richard of DeSoto; and grandchildren: Hugh Bob Fuller, III and wife, Melissa; Justin Millar Fuller; Kacy Tillman and husband, Andrew; special friend, Joanna Fuller; and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are Justin Fuller, Bill Buzze Jr, Eddie Pedigo, Leonard Simpson, Tom Fuller and Donnie Collins. Honorary pallbearers are members of the VFW Post 4819 of West, TX.
