August 18, 1913 — June 20, 2009

Ina Mae Kelly Wilson August 18, 1913 – June 20, 2009 Ina Mae Kelly Wilson passed away June 20, 2009. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 27, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with burial to follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Friday, June 26 at the funeral home. Her story began on August 18, 1913 when Ina Mae Kelly was born in Bosque County to Johnny Lee and Cynthia Eulala Kelly. On December 15, 1935, she married Lawrence Woodrow Wilson and they moved to Dallas, Texas, where Sue and Roger were born. Soon the young family moved to Waco, Texas and joined Calvary Baptist Church. Ronnie was born and completed the family. They lived in Waco and were actively involved in that church until 1998 when Lawrence died. Ina Mae then moved to Houston to live with her daughter and son-in-law, Sue and Jerry McGown. She has attended Grace Presbyterian with them for the past eleven years, but she maintained her Calvary Baptist membership. While in Waco, Ina Mae worked for Baylor University in the Admissions Office for 27 years. All three of her children are graduates of Baylor and she loved the school dearly. She had a great servant heart and the gift of hospitality. She served her family, her church, her city and Baylor University tirelessly. She is survived by a total of 39 children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren who live all over the country; and she has left a rich heritage of love and kindness. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Baylor University designated for the Lawrence and Ina Mae Wilson Endowed Scholarship Fund, Baylor University, One Bear Place # 97050, Waco, Texas 76798.
