BARRIENTEZ, IRENE Irene Barrientez, age 57, of Waco died Sunday, March 9, 2003 in Corsicana. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am Friday, March 14 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Lawrence Soler officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Rosary will be recited at 7pm Thursday, March 13 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel, 6101 Bosque Blvd. with visitation with the family to follow. Irene was born on May 15, 1945 to Henry and Crecencia Gonzales, who preceded her in death. She graduated from Waco High School and married Tony Barrientez on August 6, 1966. She was an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and devoted her life to Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. She was a member of her prayer group, social ministries, and a past CCD teacher. Over the years, she was employed at J. M. Woods, Levi Strauss, Target, at Behrens/Cardinal Health for 13 years and was last employed at H.E.B. She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Tony; son, Tony Barrientez, Jr.; daughter, Elizabeth Rose Smith and husband, James; grandsons, Arthur and Tony, III, and Johnathon; eight brothers, four sisters, many friends and family.
