DEKLE, JEAN Jean Dekle, age 78 of Waco died Wednesday, September 17, 2003 at a Temple hospital. Services will be held at 9:30am Friday, September 19 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel, 6101 Bosque Blvd. with Rev. Drew Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial South. Visitation will be from 6-8pm Thursday, September 18 at the funeral home. Mrs. Dekle was born April 6, 1925 in Mart to S. W. and Elizabeth Waldrop Lockhart. She was a longtime resident of Waco. She married Zelmah Rocky Dekle in November 1941. He preceded her in death in 2000. They were both active in the Karem Shrine of Waco. She was a member of Park Lake Dr. Baptist Church. She was an active volunteer at Jeffrey Place Nursing Home. She was also preceded in death by her sister Faye Harrell and two brothers Cecil Lockhart and Pete Lockhart. Survivors include daughter, Marsha Gilliam and husband, Dennis of Waco, son, Floyd Dekle and wife, Becky of China Spring, grandchildren, Brian Dekle, Micah Mak, and Brandon and Marisa Gilliam, four great grandchildren, sister, Sybil Hawkins of Weatherford and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Mike Burney, Richard Tinsley, Jay Baker, James Klein, Wayne West, Bob Nixon, and Jack Martin. Honorary pallbearers are Ray Cobb and Paul C. Ferrell. Memorials may be made to Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children, 1402 Outer Belt Dr., Houston, TX 77030.
