Jewell Mae Adams Hopkins, 92, was reunited with her best friend and husband, Roy Hopkins, on June 2, 2019. She died peacefully in Houston, Texas, surrounded by family and friends, after an incredible life filled with joy and, no doubt, laughter. To celebrate her life, the family is joining together for a graveside service at Waco Memorial Park. Jewell Mae was born August 25, 1926, in San Benito, Texas, to Ethyl Woods Adams and Lloyd Adams. She attended high school in La Feria, Texas. She married Roy Hopkins on August 19, 1955, and was a faithful member of the Cogdell Methodist Church in Waco, Texas. Her early career was in banking but most know her as an amazing wife, sister, and aunt. She loved to laugh, to cook, and to play countless hours of dominos and rummy. She is proceeded in death by her parents; beloved husband, Roy Hopkins; her sister, Audrey Jones; and brother-n-law, Harold Jones. She is survived by her niece, Sandy Dittrich of Monkey Island, Oklahoma; niece Karen Roberts of Elkhart, Texas; great nephew, Shea Dittrich of Washington, D.C.; great niece, Shanna Olds of Webb City, Missouri; great nephew, Clint Roberts of Waco; great niece, Jenny Roberts of Waco; niece, Toni Edwards of Houston; niece, Shawn Proll of Houston; and many, many great-great nieces and nephews, including Jewel Olds of Webb City.
