Jimmy Haddad, 82, of Woodway, Texas, passed away peacefully in his sleep Saturday, June 24, 2017, at Providence Hospital. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 30, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m., Thursday, June 29, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey, 6101 Bosque Blvd. Jimmy was born April 25, 1935, in El Paso, Texas. He graduated from El Paso High School and from Texas Western College (UTEP) in El Paso. After college, he joined the U.S. Army as an Air Defense Officer - Ft. Bliss, Texas. He graduated as a "Distinguished Cadet," following 7 years of ROTC service. Jimmy was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant upon graduation. He graduated in the top 10% from Officer's Basic Course in Air Defense School. Jimmy received an Honorable Discharge in 1971 with the Rank of Captain. Jimmy was employed with Sears, Roebuck and Company as Credit Sales Manager from 1953 to 1986. Jimmy and Barbara Winningham-Hargrove fell in love and married on September 7, 1985. They were married for 32 wonderful years. His huge passion for the outdoors included raising and training bird dogs, and participating in and judging field trials. Fishing was another of Jimmy favorite hobbies. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Haddad and Regina Haddad. He is survived by his wife, Barbara of Woodway, sister, Betty Baker of Flower Mound, Texas; brother, John Haddad of Austin; children, Roy Hargrove and his wife, Patsy, Bert Hargrove and his wife, Joyce, James Haddad, Donna McClendon and her husband, Barry, Tom Haddad and his wife, Debbie, Christy Garrett and her husband, Mike, and Bill Haddad and his wife, Ilene. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Providence Foundation or to a favorite charity.
