JoAnn Nickerson Daniel November 17, 1933 September 20, 2015 JoAnn Nickerson-Daniel went to be with her Heavenly Father on Sunday, September 20, 2015, at her home surrounded by her family. Services for Jo Ann will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, September 24, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home with Pastor Bruce Worley of Western Heights Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will also be 6:00 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 23, at the funeral home. JoAnn was born November 17, 1933, to Leon and Minnie Taylor-Nickerson in Cego, Texas. She and her family moved to Waco in 1939. In 1949, she met her future husband, Burel Daniel, the wind beneath her wings, and they were married in 1952. Burel and Jo Ann were blessed with three sons. Jo Ann spent much of her life as a homemaker. She devoted herself to making a wonderful home life for her family. She was an excellent cook and the best wife, mother, grandmother and friend you could hope to have. JoAnn was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 45 years, Burel Daniel; her parents, Leon and Minnie Nickerson; sisters, Bondell Nickerson and Marie Johns; and brothers, Jimmy and Bonner Nickerson. Left to cherish her memory are her three sons, Mike Daniel and wife, Charlotte, of Waco, Ron Daniel and wife, Lisa, of China Spring and Don Daniel of Leander; seven grandchildren, Kristen Lassetter and husband, Tommy, Amber Daniel, Jordan Daniel, Alex Daniel and Cody Benton, Austen Daniel, Joseph Daniel and wife, Katie, Jessica McSpadden and husband, Allen; even great grandchildren, Savannah, Sydney and Skylar Lassetter, Eli and Emerson Dan 1, Jaxon and Carson McSpadden. Also surviving are sister-in-law, Dot Nickerson, from Ohio; her closest and dearest friend, Mary Jacobs; and a host of longtime friends from Park Lake Drive Baptist Church, where she was a member for 54 years. Jo Ann was a current member of Western Heights Baptist Church. Pallbearers are Jordan Daniel, Joseph Daniel, Austen Daniel, Tommy Lassetter, Allen McSpadden and Cody Benton.
