John Rayford Barron

January 6, 1922 — July 23, 2001

BARRON, JOHN John Rayford Barron, age 79, of Rockwall, formerly of Waco, died Monday, July 23, 2001 at his residence. Services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, July 25, 2001 at Waco Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with Chaplain Randall G. Rather officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation with the family will be 6:00-8:00PM Tuesday, July 24th at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey, 6101 Bosque Blvd. Mr. Barron was born January 6, 1922 in Tyler. He was reared and educated in Waco. He worked as a claim agent for Southern Pacific/Cotton Belt Railroad in Waco for 42 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Wilson Barron November 16, 1992. They were both active members of the Waco Wing of the Confederate Air Force for several years. Survivors include: Daughter: Peggy Barron Greenlee and husband, Wayne Grandson: John Morgan Greenlee all of Rockwall Stepsons: Charles W. McDonald Sam DeLaney both of Waco Sister: Elizabeth Ann Allen and husband, Perry of Blairsden, CA Brother: Emmett F. Barron, Jr. and wife, Dottie of Waco Several nieces and nephews Memorials may be made to Scottish Rite Crippled Children’s Hospital, Dallas, TX WILKIRSON-HATCH-BAILEY
