John Whitten Mormon November 29, 1959 - March 10, 2012 John Whitten Mormon of Hewitt, Texas, passed away Saturday, March 10, 2012, at Providence Hospital. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 13, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with the Rev. Judy Tolbert officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the Memorial Service at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel. John was born November 29, 1959, in Sonora, Tex., to John and Jonnie Mormon. He was a retired Chief Petty Officer with the United States Navy. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Heather Mormon, of Hewitt; four sons, Whitten Mormon of Hewitt, John Mormon of Jacksonville, FL, Andrew Mormon of Jacksonville, and Brady Mormon, of Hewitt; one sister, Marilyn Wood and husband, Dickie, of Sonora; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Richard and Rosemary Lewis, of Mart; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Kelly and Steve Thorp, of Sonora; one niece, Brooke Wood of San Angelo; one nephew, Brandon Wood of Midland; one great nephew, Skyler Wood, of Sonora; many aunt, uncles, and cousins and friends.
