Johnnie Lewis Dominik May 21, 1916 - July 7, 2011 Johnnie Lewis Dominik of Woodway passed away Thursday, July 7, 2011. Services will be at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, July 9, at Waco Memorial Mausoleum Chapel with Father Joe Geleney officiating. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., Friday, July 8, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Johnnie was born May 21, 1916 in Bryan, Texas, to Joseph and Antonia Dominik. He was a Roman Catholic. He served our country as a U.S. Army Corporal, serving in Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland and Central Europe. He worked at Lone Star Gas Co for 35 years, until he retired. Johnnie was known for his barbeque chicken and special sauce. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Christine Curik; and three brothers, Steve, Albin and Stanley Dominik. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Jewell Dominik; his son, Eddie Dominik and wife, Pam Mann Dominik, all of Woodway; and several nieces and nephews.
