ROBINSON, JUANITA Juanita Robinson, age 82 of China Spring died October 30, 2003 at Heart and Home in Waco. Services will be held at 11:30am Monday, November 3 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel, 6101 Bosque Blvd. with Rev. Charles Pederson and Rev. Allen Grant officiating. Burial will follow at China Spring Cemetery. Lunch will be served at China Spring United Methodist Church afterwards. Visitation with the family will be from 4-6pm Sunday, November 2 at the funeral home. Mrs. Robinson was born April 22, 1921 in Burkburnett, Texas to John Frank and Alta Sadie Lillard Smith. She attended school in Archer City, Texas. She married Garth William Robinson October 9, 1937. After World War II, they moved to Bellmead, Texas. She attended Waco Beauty College and set up a shop at her home. She worked as an instructor for Waco Beauty College for 12 years. Later, she worked for Andrews Beauty Supply. Juanita and Garth Robinson started the Cedar Brake Trail Ride in 1960 and continued to support it until her death. She was preceded in death by parents; husband, Garth in 1990; sisters, Dorothy Thompson and Patsy Lewis. Garth and Juanita moved to China Spring in 1983, built a home and joined China Spring United Methodist Church. Survivors include brother, John Frank Smith and wife, Peggy of Zapata, Texas, daughter Juanajean Pederson and husband Rev. Charles Pederson of Nederland, son G. W. Bill Robinson Jr. and wife Jean of Wimberley, grandchildren: Mark Robinson and wife Kelly of Wylie, Steve Robinson and wife Donna of Lorena, Bryan Robinson and wife Marni of Lockhart, Katherine Marie Alexander and husband Eric of Port Neches, Christy Ann Olsen and husband Brian of Nederland, Jane Cassidy of Cedar Park, Brenda Edwards of Cedar Park, Mark Edwards and wife Holly of Fredericksburg, Melanie Hardaway and husband Ron of Kerrville, Robert Inks and wife Blake of Canyon Lake, Robyn Sheehan and husband Andrew of New Braunfels, 17 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. Pallbearers will be Mark Robinson, Steve Robinson, Bryan Robinson, Mike Lewis, Joe Lewis, and Kirk Lewis. Honorary pallbearers are Rick Lewis, Brian Olsen, Tommy Murphy, Johnny Murphy, Johnny Kessler, Joe Guardiola, and Eric Alexander. The family expresses their gratitude to Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center doctors, ICU nurses staff, and Ronda Machac of Hillcrest Community Hospice, Ann and Paul Gibson of Heart and Home.
