Julia Anna Reaves August 8, 1918 - October 12, 2010 Julia Anna Reaves of Waco passed away Tuesday, October 12, 2010. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 15, at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West, TX, with Father Edward Karasek as Celebrant. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. followed by visitation at 6:45 p.m., Thursday, October 14, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel. Julia was born August 8, 1918, in Little Rock, Arkansas, to Christopher and Lucy Lanzo. Following the death of her mother, she grew up in a Catholic orphanage. She married Walter M. Reaves in 1949. They moved to Waco in 1985. She was office manager for the Austin district of 7-11 Stores for 16 years; and later worked for the Texas House of Representatives as a licensed court reporter. She was a devoted Catholic and a life member of the Providence Hospital Auxiliary. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of almost 50 years, Walter Mabry Reaves, Sr.; and their son, James Allen Reaves. She is survived by her son, Walter M. Reaves, Jr. and wife, Dee Anne; grandchildren, Mika Runyan and husband, Christopher; and Matthew Reaves; great grandchildren, Madison, Cailee and Hunter Runyan, all of West, TX.
