Julia Carrigan passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2005. Mass of the Christian Burial will be at 3:00 pm, Monday, October 3rd at St. Louis Catholic Church with Msgr. Mark Deering celebrant. Burial will follow at Moore Cemetery in the Chalk Bluff community. Visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00 pm Sunday, October 2, with Rosary service at 6:00 pm at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home Chapel, 6101 Bosque Blvd. Julia was born June 20, 1919 in Hot Springs, Arkansas to John Sylvester and Ellendale Pearl Hart. Julia was the owner of Cedarwood Stables of Waco, TX and organizer of the longest running Combined Training Event west of the Mississippi River. She coached riders to the State Championships for the Texas Hunter and Jumper Association. Mrs. Carrigan was a receipiant of the Goveror's Cup Award for the United States Combined Training Association. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dean T. Mutt Carrigan She is survived by sons, Dennis Lee Carrigan of Elm Mott and Michael Dean Carrigan of Greenville, KY; honorary son, Mike Stark of Waco; grandsons, William Dean Carrigan, PhD of Glassboro, NJ, Patrick Lee Carrigan, P.E. of Katy, TX, and Gregory Carrigan of Greenville, KY; great-granddaughters, Julia Katherine Carrigan and Sara Sinead Carrigan.
