Kathryn White Lockhart of Tyler, Texas, formerly of Waco, passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2016. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 2, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with the Rev. Grant Kaul officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00 p.m., Thursday, December 1, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home. Kathryn was born September 30, 1936, in Waco, Texas, to James and Mary White. She graduated from Waco High School in 1955, where she met her husband. She worked with special needs children most of her life, played the harp at church, wrote prayers for and spoke at her grandchildren’s weddings, and most of all, she loved the Lord. Kathryn was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joe Lockhart; and one sister, Mary Allen. She is survived by her daughter, Laura Wade and husband, Bill, of Rockwall, Texas; her son, Joe Lockhart and wife, Carolyn, of Spring Branch, Texas; her daughter, Leah Wisdom of Tyler; five grandchildren, Heath, Rachel, Betsy, Katy and Joseph; and seven great-grandchildren.
