LAMB, LEAH Leah Ratliff Lamb, 96, died Saturday, February 7 at the Regent Care Center. Visitation with the family will be Sunday, February 8 from 2:00-3:30 pm at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Burial will be in Osceola, Iowa. Leah was born November 26, 1907 in Osceola, Iowa to Frank and Ethel Emary. After attending county school near Leslie, Iowa, she married O.D. Ratliff in 1923. He was the true love of her life. He preceded her in death in 1959. She married Edmond Lamb in 1964 and he died in 1984. She was a loving wife and mother, putting her family’s needs before her own. She worked for a time as a secretary and as a nurse’s aid. She enjoyed golf, travel, dancing, bridge and bingo. In the past six years, she greatly enjoyed playing cards and forty-two with all her dear friends at Lake Shore Estates. She was preceded in death by her brother, Leland Emary and her constant companion, Coco. She is survived by sons, O. Dale Ratliff of Des Moines, Iowa and L. Doyle Ratliff of Scottsdale, Arizona; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and one nephew. Her family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff of Regent Care Center for their loving care in her final weeks and especially Dr. John Speckmiear, for everything.
