Lena B. Hamm

December 26, 1910 — May 29, 2003

HAMM, LENA Lena B. Hamm, age 92, of Waco passed away Thursday, May 29, 2003 at a local hospital. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday, June 2 at St. Louis Catholic Church with the Rev. Msgr. Mark Deering officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial North. Rosary will be 6 p.m. Sunday, June 1 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey, 6101 Bosque Blvd. Mrs. Hamm was born December 26, 1910 in Bryan, Texas to the late Tony and Antionette Collida Burrescia. She moved to Dallas in 1941. She began work for the Frito Lay Company until her retirement in 1978 when she was the Plant Supervisor over the Baken-ets Division. She married Pat Hamm on June 9, 1973, he preceded her in death on November 13, 1992. She was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church and she loved sports, gardening and traveling. She is survived by her nieces, Annette Wilber of Dallas and Therese Highnote of Houston; nephews, Ricky Burrescia of Lubbock, Louis Burrescia of Grapevine, Lawrence Burrescia of West Palm Beach, Florida, Charles Tusa of Dallas, Johnny Tusa of Waco and Patrick Tusa of Waco. 13 great nieces and nephews; sister, Rose Tusa and brother, Tony Burrescia as well as many friends.
