Schimschat, Lillian November 29, 1921 – September 19, 2005 Lillian Schimschat, 83, of Waco, passed away Monday, September 19, 2005. Services will be at 11:30 AM Thursday, September 22 at St. Mark Lutheran Church with Pastor James Price officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 6 to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, September 21 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey, 6101 Bosque. Lillian was born November 29, 1921 to Frieda and Louis Bishnow in Riesel, Texas. She was a devoted member of St. Mark Lutheran Church where she has been in attendance since 1952. Lillian’s passion was in cattle ranching, growing vegetables in her garden, church activities and her family. Lillian married Richard Schimschat in 1941 and celebrated 59 years of marriage. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard, and her brothers and sisters, Leola Kyser, Lois Jean Sparkman and Bernie Joe Bishnow. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Bell and husband, Russell of Irving; sons, Gary Schimschat of Riesel and David Schimschat of Robinson; brother, Harry Bishnow and wife, Gladys of Houston; grandchildren, John Bell of Highland Village, Greg Bell of Flower Mound, Robin Stringer of Lewisville, Stacy Phillips of Robinson, Ronnie Schimschat of Lacy Lakeview and Kimberly Davis of Lorena; eleven grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be John Bell, Greg Bell, Ronnie Schimschat, Mike Sparkman, Alan Sparkman and Rodney Kroll. Memorials may be made to St. Mark Lutheran Church, 2000 Clay Avenue, Waco, Texas 76706.
