Linda Dell Yates

Linda Dell Yates of Golinda passed away Sunday, August 21, 2016, at Texas Health Presbyterian in Plano. Memorial Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 27, at Golinda Baptist Church with Pastor Morgan Woodard officiating. Linda was born January 20, 1941, in Gatesville, Texas, to Austin and Clay Chandler. She worked at First Federal Savings and Loan and later Guaranty Bank in Waco. She was active in her church and community, working with Meals-On-Wheels and visiting shut-ins at Golinda Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Earl Eugene Yates; and one brother, Edwin Chandler. She is survived by three daughters, Debbie Farney and husband, Joe, of Golinda, Texas; Karla Decker and husband, D.J., of Frisco, Texas; and Cindy Yates and wife, Melanie, of Plano, Texas; six grandchildren; two brothers, Terry Chandler and wife, Gretchen; and Gary Chandler and wife, Lori; and numerous nieces and nephews.
