Louise James September 30, 1924 - August 13, 2015 Louise Turner James 91 went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, 13, 2015. Louise passed on peacefully at her home in Belton, Texas. Graveside services will be 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 19, at Stanford Chapel Cemetery in Hewitt with Larry Mitcham of Genesis to Jesus Ministries officiating. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, August 18, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Louise was born September 30, 1924 to Alvin and EllaVaughn Turner. She grew up in Hewitt and attended Waco schools with her older sister and best friend, Mary Nell. Her Dad was a Postman by trade, and her Mom was a Homemaker. At the end of WWII, Louise worked at Camp Hood where she met and married Clyde James, her husband of 54 years. She devoted her life to raising their family in Killeen, and in their retired years they resided in Harker Heights. Louise carried on the loving tradition started by her parents of taking her entire family to Port Aransas each and every year. She loved watching her family grow as they fished, reminisced and played at the ocean each year; quite the legacy to leave behind to her most appreciative family! She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde James and her parents Alvin and Ella Turner. She is survived by her sister, Mary Nell Swick; her children, Gene James, Patricia Bishop, Richard James , Donald James and Karen Payne; her grandchildren, Ashley Bishop Byrd, James Bishop, Jeremy James, Cole James, Erica Farmer, Shelby Springer, Allison James, Austin James, Erin Appleby, Todd James, Michael James, Leska James, Nick James, Kelly Dunning, Kerry Foster, Kimberly Walsh, Kathy Thomas, Tricia Thompson and Thomas Payne; and numerous great-grandchildrenwith one more on the way!.
