LOUISE MCDONALD Louise McDonald, 90, of Waco, died Sunday, August 25, 2002, in a local nursing home. Services will be held at 11:30am, Tuesday, August 27 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Bosque Chapel, 6101 Bosque Blvd. with Dr. Randy Hughes officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be at 10:30am Tuesday in the chapel prior to the service. Mrs. McDonald was born March 17, 1912 in Aquilla, Texas. She graduated from Aquilla High School. While in high school, she advanced to state competition with the girls basketball team. She became a licensed beautician and worked in the Professional Building in downtown Waco. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church and a longtime member of Gleaner’s Sunday School class. She taught children’s Sunday School for 30 plus years. She married Wayne L. McDonald in 1942. He preceded her in death July 19, 1992. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Clem and Mary Ann Wills Harris. She will be remembered for her love of family and friends. Survivors: daughters, Susan Torrance and husband Gerald of Houston, Janis Ward and husband Robert of Waco; grandchildren, Gerald Torrance, Jr., Matthew Ward, Rebecca Ward; sister, Ruth Bennett of Houston. Pallbearers will be Ray Deaver, Richard Fullerton, John Mark Hoffman, Fred Hulme, Doug Lennier, and Alfred Rodriguez. Memorials may be made to Emmanuel Baptist Church or one’s favorite charity.
